{Sponsored Party} Eggland's Best Brinner

Last month, Eggland's Best contacted me and asked if I would throw a brinner (breakfast for dinner) party. I was delighted (and a little flattered) and of course couldn't pass up the offer. You see, we go through at least 18 Eggland's Best eggs per week (on a slow week). My husband consumes at the very minimum 14 eggs a week--he loves his egg's and he loves breakfast! I bake and cook each week and depending on what I'm making will depend on how many egg's I use! Eggland's Best has 25% less saturated fat, 10 times more vitamin E and 3 times more vitamin B12 to name a few of the benefits that Eggland's Best eggs have compared to ordinary eggs (facts obtained from the Eggland's Best website), and since we consume so many eggs in my house it is important to me that we are getting optimal nutritional value from everything we consume. In fact, "Clinical tests have shown that people on a low-fat diet who ate 12 Eggland's Best eggs a week did not increase their serum cholesterol level." as stated on the Eggland's Best website. So for my husbands sake this is a good thing! For over a year now my husband has been B12 deficient which meant he had to do monthly and at times bi-weekly B12 injections. I was happy to read on the Eggland's Best website that,  "Eggland's Best eggs are an excellent source of vitamin B12 and have 75% more vitamin B12 than ordinary eggs.  The most important function of vitamin B12 is to form healthy red blood cells, which may help prevent heart disease." Thankfully we recently found out that my husbands B12 levels are back up and injections are no longer needed (in no way is this a claim that Eggland's Best helped raise his B12 levels). I'm happy to know that he can get an extra dose of B12 from his eggs each morning. OK, so now that I've told you all sorts of helpful nutritional facts let's get on to the party!

Eggland's Best sent me a brinner box with a gift card (so I could buy all the food for the brinner), Eggland's Best coupons for free eggs, kitchen utensils, an apron, and of course an Eggland's Best plush!

I prepared quite a bit of food the evening before our brinner (since we held it on a Friday night). A few hours before our brinner I made the waffle batter. (Of course,) as pictured, I had to tweet about what I was doing. This is typically what happens in my kitchen on a daily occurrence. Frequent "tweet" stops while cooking!
Getting ready to crack one of the Eggland's Best Organic Eggs.
I made the waffle batter a good 2 hours in advanced, but as the clock started ticking I started to run around the kitchen like a crazy women. We had a little less than an hour left and I still had tons of stuff to make. My husband volunteered to make the waffles. (He finally realized what causes all the mess (since he's normally the one who cleans it and complains each and every time)!) Guest started arriving around 7:00 and I we started off the evening with fresh fruit, sausage and pepper mini quiche in fillo cups, and vegetable mini quiche in fillo cups. Of course I was busy cooking and never had a chance to photograph any of the quiche. It was my first time ever making quiche and I was happy to see that they went pretty quickly! I will have to remake them again sometime soon to photograph and blog about the recipes I created.
Once the last set of guest arrived I started scrambling the two dozen organic eggs!
We served Bloody Mary's with celery and crispy bacon strips and mimosas to all the adults. The kid's had orange or apple juice with their brinner!
We had quite the spread of food. I made scrambled eggs with cheese, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage patties, croissants, sautéed asparagus and mushrooms in a sherry sauce (recipe to be posted later on in the coming week's), and a waffle bar that had my famous crisp and golden waffles along with a new recipe for chocolate waffles (that still needs to be tweeked) and all the toppings your heart could imagine; strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry compotes, home-made whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and of course the normal syrup and butter!

Scrambled eggs with cheese (excuse my bad picture).
Eggland's Best had asked we kept our brinner to 10-15 guest for a more intimate experience and I managed to do just that. We put the table top on our pool table and all of us were able to sit down and enjoy breakfast for dinner, together! A few people even commented that they felt like they were at the "Last Supper" table! (*Per the request of some of my guest I blurred everyone's faces for security.) During brinner we talked about the food, we shared some of our favorite breakfast recipes, and also tips on how we keep our groceries bills within budget.
As you can see, the eggs were a hit!
And, so was everything else. We had very minimal leftovers which was great, and we lived on sausage patties for breakfast for the following week!

Tomorrow I'm excited to announce how one of my (lucky) reader's will have the chance to win an Eggland's Best Brinner pack!
